During the tour of 7 days, travel from Tangier to Marrakech through the Imperial Cities of Morocco (Fes, Marrakech, and Meknes). Explore Volubilis while admiring the beauties of the Middle Atlas Mountains. In addition to visiting Merzouga Desert, this excursion will include options for a camel ride and desert camping. Visit the High Atlas Mountains, the city of Ouarzazate, and the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This 7-day tour of Morocco’s royal cities will introduce you to the country’s rich history via stately palaces, stunning monuments, meandering medinas, and lively marketplaces.
The accompanying guided trips will explain the wonders of the two imperial cities, Fes and Marrakech. Enjoy your evenings at each imperial city’s exquisite traditional riads, which are conveniently positioned near the city’s principal attractions. In Merzouga’s magical Sahara Desert, you may go camel trekking amid the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a Berber tent lighted by a starry sky.
Today, we will travel via the Rif mountains and Tetouan city to Chefchaouen, a picturesque settlement at the foot of the mountains.
Chefchaouen medina has a Spanish-style plaza with numerous eccentric arts and crafts boutiques, roof-top eateries, and cafés where you could spend the night enjoying the wind and nature.
Following a delicious breakfast at the riad, our 8 Days Desert Tour From Tangier to Marrakech begins for Volubilis through Ouazan and other Rif settlements. We’ll explore Volubilis’ Roman remains and Moroccan heritage.
We will next travel to Meknes, a 17th-century city, where we will have lunch and explore the medina walls, bab el Mansour, and Moulay Ismail mausoleum. We spend the night in Fes later in the day.
Today we’ll explore Morocco’s oldest city’s alleyways and streets. We visit the Royal Palace entrance, the Jewish HQ, and Morocco’s earliest Mellah, established in the 16th century.
We will take you to all cultural and historical places, including Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the area, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss tomb. Following lunch, visit the tiles cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view of Fes’ Medina.
Following breakfast in your accommodation, we will journey to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. The Ziz Gorge and Tiz Ntalghamt pass will be intriguing. When you reach Errachidia, you’ll see desert-like terrain and eat lunch with the Berbers.
We’ll next drive via Ziz Valley to Erfoud (renowned for fossils) and Rissani, pausing for scenic views (with its famous souk). We arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon and greet you with mint tea before you start your camel ride to spend the night in the desert camp with Berber music and sand-boarding.
We ride camels back to the hotel after seeing the dawn over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Shower after breakfast.
After leaving the desert, we will travel via the Saghro mountains and take a brief stroll in Todra Gorge before arriving in Dades Valley for supper and lodging. We stayed in a Dades Gorges riad/hotel.
Following breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley to Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Dades Valley’s thousand-kasbah path. We’ll visit Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital, and T-Hami El Glaoui’s Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, Morocco’s biggest (the UNESCO heritage site).
We will next travel via the High Atlas mountains and stop in charming Berber towns until we reach Marrakech, where we will stay overnight.
