Following breakfast, climb the Middle Atlas Mountains. Crossing the Atlas Mountains and descending into the Sahara Desert will take most of the day.
Lunch will be at Midelt, known for its fossils and rocks, halfway. After the journey, a hot shower or swim in the Merzouga Kasbah’s pool (weather permitting) will be a joy. Kasbah dinner.
From Merzouga, visit a Nomad community and eat in a Kasbah hotel amid the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Relax by the pool before your next trip.
When the sun sets, you will stroll or ride a camel through the sands and see the Erg Chebbi sand dunes become crimson.
When night comes, listen to the intoxicating rhythm of Berber drum music and song and enjoy a Moroccan home-cooked feast before sleeping beneath the stars in your individual Luxurious tent with a private bathroom and hot shower. Today’s desert camping and gala supper will be spectacular.
Breakfast follows a beautiful morning. Following that, you return to Merzouga to pick up your vehicle and drive to the stunning Todra Gorge gorges through the difficult Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Hollywood movies including The Last Temptation of Christ and Jewel of the Nile have been filmed here. We arrive in the spectacular Todra gorges with springs running between the rocks and appreciate the natural splendor.

Today, visit Kelaa M’Gouna, the Moroccan rose capital. Through the Skoura palm oasis on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate. Following lunch in Ouarzazate, visit UNESCO-protected Ait Benhaddou.
Leave the kasbah and travel towards the Atlas Mountains through Tizi Tichka, the highest road pass at 2260m, with stunning views of valleys, mountains, and Berber communities. Marrakech by sunset. Hotel/Riad night.
Following breakfast, an experienced guide will show you Marrakech. The journey begins with Marrakech’s iconic Koutoubia Mosque, which inspired Seville’s Giralda and Rabat’s Hassan Tower. Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs are next.
Ahmad al-Mansur built Marrakech’s Saadian tombs. Beaux-arts refurbished the graves found in 1917. The tomb has roughly sixty Draa River-born Saadian Dynasty members.
