6 Days Tour From Marrakech via Merzouga Desert

We start the day with breakfast and a trip to the Todra Gorges, a popular destination for rock climbers. Later, we’ll keep on, passing a string of walled settlements with impressive architecture along the old Bedouin trade routes that ran parallel to the Middle Atlas. Some of the most scenic drives in the South may be found on the way to Erfoud. The French established the town as an administrative hub amid an arid, red desert landscape. Those looking for black marble with plenty of fossils need go no further. Stoneware such as ashtrays, washbasins, and more are carved to feature fossils in high relief. We go to the magnificent Merzouga dunes, which mark the beginning of the great Sahara Desert. We ditch the car and ride camels into the desert to a Berber outpost. If you want to make your trip really unforgettable, why not try sand dunes boarding in the Sahara? Soon after supper, we all congregate around the fire to listen to the desert night, maybe accompanied by traditional Berber drums.

On the third day of our six-day journey from Marrakech, we’ll spend time in the Merzouga desert. There will be time for you to “do your own thing,” whether that’s relaxing in a 4×4 while touring, or experiencing the thrill of camel trekking. Khamlia, a hamlet famous for its traditional music, will also be on our itinerary.

We’ll keep on our 4×4 adventure to the ghost town of Mefes and its abandoned lead mines, which have supplied the region with minerals ever since the French colonizers arrived.
We must not pass up the chance to meet a kind and welcoming nomad family who make their home in the Merzouga region of the Sahara. We’ll finish the day at a Riad or hotel in the Merzouga region.

Following a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll hit the road and travel via Rissani, famous for its massive local souk, the largest market in the area, on our way to Midelt in the Atlas Mountains through Ziz Valley and palm plantations.
Lunch at a nearby eatery awaits before we go on to the cedar forest of Azrou and its population of Barbary apes, followed by an evening in a hotel in Fes.
We’ll take a trip to Ifrane, a city known for its beautiful buildings and landscape design, its pristine cleanliness, and its proximity to the world-famous Mishlifen Ski Resort. Ifrane is often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its enviable setting and otherworldly atmosphere.

The first step of our visit will be to follow a native guide through the winding streets and alleyways of the oldest city in Morocco.
The city of Fes, Morocco, is divided into three sections: Fes el Bali, Fes medina, and Fes medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981).
The Jewish quarter is located in Fes-Jdid, the oldest of the three districts, and is surrounded by a high wall. Ville Nouvelle, the most contemporary district of Fez, was constructed during the French rule.
The Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum are all stops on the guided sightseeing trip. After seeing a wide variety of cooperatives, you’ll be treated to a beautiful panoramic view of Fes’s historic Medina.
The excursion will conclude after lunch, and then we’ll go to Casablanca. We had dinner and stayed the night in the economic and population center of Morocco.

After seeing the sights of Casablanca, including the Hassan II Mosque, we’ll go back toward the red city of Marrakech, where your 6-day trip will conclude and you’ll be taken back to your hotel or the airport
